The MTR-0139 is the Glentek AC brushless axis motor used on smaller, linear-way Fadal VMCs running 5000 line motors. It pairs with the AMP-0039 amplifier. When an axis loses position, drifts, or won't hold under load, a failing motor encoder or Hall sensor is a common cause that gets mistaken for an amplifier fault.
Specifications ▼
Encoder Line Count
5000 line, AC brushless
Amplifier Compatibility
Glentek AMP-0039
Connector
QD connector, GMB5030-78 configuration
Overload Protection
Integrated thermal switch in the windings shuts down the amplifier before the motor overheats
Fault Codes ▼
Fault Code 1
"No motor feedback," which appears on power up if no motor feedback (resolver or encoder) or no motor motion is detected by the axis controller.
Fault Code 18
"Servo amplifier fault line down," meaning the axis card no longer detects the fault line signal from the amplifier, or the signal strength drops below 10V.
Amplifier LED Indicators
Below the amplifier's 10-pin connector are three LEDs: Hall Error, Encoder Error, and Index. If either error LED lights up, the motor is the likely fault, not the amplifier.

If the motor tests fine but the axis still misbehaves, check the amplifier next. See the AMP-0039 amplifier card. If all three axes on the same chassis are failing, you may need the full AMP-0038 chassis assembly instead.
