The AMP-0040C is a fully digital AC brushless servo amplifier manufactured by Glentek, built as a direct drop-in replacement for the legacy analog AMP-0040. When an axis stalls, chatters, or won't hold position on a machine running 8192 line motors, this is the amplifier most likely at fault. Surface-mount components replace through-hole design throughout, matching the original's performance while significantly improving long-term reliability.

Drop-In Installation
Wiring is identical to the AMP-0040. Pot location and adjustment is the same. Produces identical ballbar results as the legacy version, so no reconfiguration is needed after swap.
Fault Codes ▼
Fault Code 1
"No motor feedback," which appears on power up if no motor feedback (resolver or encoder) or no motor motion is detected by the axis controller.
Fault Code 18
"Servo amplifier fault line down," meaning the axis card no longer detects the fault line signal from the amplifier, or the signal strength drops below 10V.

This amplifier is for machines running 8192 line AC brushless motors. If your Fadal uses DC brush motors or 5000 line AC motors, this is not the correct amplifier. Unsure? Submit an RFQ with your VMC model and motor part number and we will verify the correct amplifier for your machine.
